CrossFit CDR is owned and operated by Calvin and Rachel Davis. They are truly passionate and devoted to providing improved fitness and nutrition to their clients, family, and friends in the community.

 

Our Story:

Our journey started out when we went to Cedar City, Utah for Thanksgiving in 2008. My cousin, Bryant Swenson, owns and operates CrossFit Cedar City. Bryant challenged me to a 20 minute workout, which I thought would be easy, as I considered myself to be "fit". I couldn't walk for 6 days and immediately loved it. Calvin was still feeling like his $19 gym membership would be just fine. I then decided when we got back from Utah that I would start training myself and a couple of friends by doing bodyweight workouts at the park that I'd found on the message boards at CrossFit's main site. Calvin, still skeptical, started noticing some serious changes to my figure in just the few months I had been doing her CrossFit style work outs. So after months going by, with me working out and Calvin being couch potato, Calvin decided to go try a WOD (CrossFit's Workout Of the Day) which I was going to put him through. Calvin survived and loved it! Immediately following, I obtained the Level 1 Certification as a CrossFit Trainer, and started training friends and family at the local high school football field. We then decided to move into out garage so we could get the benefits of all the foundational movements that encompass CrossFit. With some equipment and a little hard work, we were up and running with classes out of our garage in no time!

CrossFit has been life changing for us, and as a result, we decided to create what you see today; a facility dedicated to its community, through quality coaching, intense workouts and a fun atmosphere. What's the best thing about CrossFit?... It works! We see and feel the results for ourselves and are passionate about sharing this with others. We are dedicated to our clients, family, friends, and kids who all have the same goal in mind of being fit and feeling great. Whether you want to lose weight, get toned up, change your current routine, better equip yourself for your physically active job (such as public safety,)...CrossFit works!!!
